The Million Dollar Dinner was a fundraiser evening that invited Rotarians who joined the Rotary Foundation Bequest Society during the Rotary year starting July 1, 2012.  To become a member of the Bequest Society one must donate a minimum $10,000 US to the Rotary Foundation via their will and/or estate planning.  In other words –  no monies now,  but it is included in their legal will.  Rotarians can inform the Rotary Foundation they have taken such a step so they can be recognized if they choose.   We encouraged this  so we could recognize their generosity and in this case invite them to the Million Dollar Dinner.   We also invited Paul Harris Society members (give $1000 annually) and Major Donors ($10,000 minimum donated) as a thank you.  For the Major Donors we encouraged outright gifts of $10,000, or a commitment of $3333 for 3 years in a row.  We had 7-outright gifts of $10K or greater totaling $101,036.70

The Dinner was one evening –  but the planning was a year in the making. See when when for dates and a time-line.
